3、 DisplayPort2.0的重要功能是什么?
DisplayPort 2.0 improves video bandwidth performance by 3X (77.37 Gbps max load)
Maximum link rate up to 20 Gbps with more efficient 128b/132b channel coding, delivering a maximum payload of 77.37 Gbps
As the first standard to support 8K resolution (7680 x 4320), 60 Hz refresh rate, full-color 4:4:4 resolution, including HDR-10 support at 30 bits per pixel (bpp)
Resolution above 8K: Configuration example:
▲ Single monitor resolution One 16K (15360×8460) display @60Hz and 30 bpp 4:4:4 HDR (with DSC)
▲ One 10K (10240×4320) display @60Hz and 24 bpp 4:4:4 (uncompressed)
▲ Dual Display Resolution Two 8K (7680×4320) displays @120Hz and 30 bpp 4:4:4 HDR (with DSC)
▲ Two 4K (3840×2160) displays @144Hz and 24 bpp 4:4:4 (uncompressed)
▲ Triple display resolution Three 10K (10240×4320) displays @60Hz and 30 bpp 4:4:4 HDR (with DSC)
▲ Three 4K (3840×2160) displays @90Hz and 30 bpp 4:4:4 HDR (uncompressed)
▲ When using only two channels on the USB-C connector via DP Alt mode to allow simultaneous SuperSpeed USB data and video, DP 2.0 can enable the following configurations: Three 4K (3840×2160) displays @144Hz and 30 bpp 4:4:4 HDR (with DSC)
▲ Two 4Kx4K (4096×4096) monitors (for AR/VR headsets) @120Hz and 30 bpp 4:4:4 HDR (with DSC)
▲ Three QHD (2560×1440) @120Hz and 24 bpp 4:4:4 (uncompressed)
▲ One 8K (7680) x 4320) display @30Hz and 30bpp 4:4:4 HDR (uncompressed)
▲ Higher refresh rate and high dynamic range (HDR) support higher resolution
▲ Improved support for multiple display configurations
▲ Improve user experience with augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR) displays, including support for 4K and higher resolution VR
▲ The advantages of DP2.0 support visually lossless Display Stream Compression (DSC) with Forward Error Correction (FEC), HDR metadata transmission and other advanced features in both the native DP connector and the USB Type-C connector
4、What types of products include DisplayPort?
Originally developed as a next-generation PC display interface, DisplayPort is now available in a variety of tablets, laptops, desktops, and monitors. It's also now available on digital TVs, including some 4K TVs, as a display input.
5、What are the benefits of DisplayPort to its users?
DisplayPort provides users with some direct and indirect benefits. Immediate benefits include higher performance, display adapters available for legacy display types, and the ability to connect multiple monitors to a single video output.
6 What is the difference between DisplayPort and HDMI? Are the two very similar?
DisplayPort and HDMI are technically very different, and both started out with different product focuses. HDMI has been the de facto connection for home entertainment systems for over a decade and is widely used in HDTVs as an AV interface. Some PCs and monitors include HDMI for connection to high-definition televisions and other consumer electronic devices. DisplayPort is a newer standard originally developed to support the higher performance requirements of personal computers and is based on newer signal and protocol technologies, similar to those already used in today's computer systems, enabling increased performance and integration. Because DisplayPort uses common signaling techniques and packet data structures for data communication, it can be combined with standards such as USB and Thunderbolt through a common connector. DisplayPort provides a more robust and stable AV link through link training/link quality monitoring in data communication.
